ALFRED, NY -- The Alfred University softball team's doubleheader against visiting RIT, scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The 3 p.m. twinbill, which was to be the first ever on the Saxons' new on-campus field, has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 2. Alfred, which just returned from a 12-game Spring Break trip to Tuscon, AZ, will instead open its new field with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 24, against Penn College.

AU (4-8) is in action next on Friday, March 22, with a 3 p.m. doubleheader at Pitt-Bradford.
