HILTON HEAD, SC — The Alfred University men’s tennis team lost 6-3 to Heidelberg Wednesday (March 13) to wrap up the Saxons’ Spring Break trip to Hilton Head, SC.

AU (3-5) split six singles matches but was shut out in three doubles matches. Earning singles wins for the Saxons were: freshman Connor Doud (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa), 4-6, 7-5, 10-6 in first singles; sophomore Michael Graham (Elmira, NY/Southside), 5-7, 6-4, 10-8 in fourth singles; and sophomore Lucas Krenzer (Rochester, NY/Wheatland-Chili), 6-1, 7-5 in fifth singles.

The Saxons play next on April 6 at 2:30 p.m. when they host Stevens in their Empire 8 Conference opener.
