Women’s Basketball topped by Hartwick, 65-32

ALFRED, NY-  The Alfred University women’s basketball team closed out their season with a 65-32 loss to visiting Hartwick College Saturday afternoon.

Freshman forward Hailey Sick (Dansville, NY/Dansville) led the Lady Saxons with eight points and three rebounds.  Freshman guard Heather Hebert (Hilton, NY/Hilton) pulled down a game-high seven rebounds and scored six points.

Brittney Dumas led Hartwick with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Maressa Mistretta The senior second baseman from Shirley, NY, drove in what proved to be the winning run with a solo homerun in the fifth inning of the softball team’s 6-1 victory over Centenary in the first round of the ECAC South Championship softball tournament.
