Saxons’ weekend Empire 8 Conference basketball games to be broadcast live

ALFRED, NY — The Alfred University’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will each play a pair of Empire 8 Conference games this weekend, which will be broadcast live in the internet.

 

The AU women’s team plays at Nazareth at 6 p.m. Friday (Jan. 25), with the men’s game to follow at 8 p.m. On Saturday (Jan. 26), the women’s team plays at home against Utica at 2 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 4 p.m. Live video webcasts of all four games will be shown on Empire 8 TV.

Maressa Mistretta The senior second baseman from Shirley, NY, drove in what proved to be the winning run with a solo homerun in the fifth inning of the softball team’s 6-1 victory over Centenary in the first round of the ECAC South Championship softball tournament.
