AU’s Hebert named Empire 8 Conference women’s basketball Rookie of the Week11/27/12
ALFRED, NY — Heather Hebert (Hilton, NY/Hilton), a freshman on the Alfred University women’s basketball team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Week.
Hebert, a 5-8 guard, was honored for her play in two games last week, both AU victories, in which she averaged 12 points, 4.5 rebounds, five assists and seven steals. She had 14 points, six rebounds, six assists and six steals in a Nov. 20 win at Penn College, then added 10 points, three boards, four assists and eight steals in a Nov. 24 home win over Hilbert.
Alfred (2-2) plays next on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 5 p.m. at Wells College.
