Coming Soon!

A multi-million dollar capital campaign, Score One for AU, is underway to meet the extracurricular needs of AU students by enhancing our athletic facilities.
Already, significant improvements have been made to Merrill Field; The Connor’s Pavilion opened in October 2012; and other campus beautification projects have begun.
The University will also be constructing an addition to McLane Center dedicated to promoting health and wellness to open Fall 2013. The addition, at the north end of McLane, will house an indoor four-lane track and three basketball courts; men’s and women’s locker rooms; storage areas, and an elevator leading to the street level entrance of McLane. The recreation center will provide a training facility for the Saxon track teams and the courts will help accommodate the University’s intramural programs.
The Harrington Park Softball Stadium and Practice Field will open in the Spring 2013 on what is now Tucker Field. The new field will include spacious dugouts; a press box/equipment storage building; bleachers and home and visitor bullpens.
The new softball facility on Tucker will require construction of a new practice field. Currently the football, soccer and lacrosse teams practice on Tucker Field, which also plays host to countless intramural contests. To accommodate those activities, the University plans to build a new practice field, with lighting, adjacent to Merrill Field.

Jericho Hill Fields
The scenic mountain top of Jericho Hill is the training
site for Alfred University's men's and women's cross-country teams. The football
team occasionally practices on the grass, in season. Men's and Women's Rugby
(a club sport) also uses Jericho Hill Fields, and in winter, cross-country
skiers use trails on the mountain as well.

Bromeley-Daggett
Equestrian Center
Thanks to the generosity of Alfred University Trustee Rob Daggett, a 1981 alumnus
of AU, and Catherine Bromeley Daggett, a 1958 graduate of the University, AU has a new,
state-of-the-art equestrian facility that opened in August 2005.
The spacious new facility is located within a five-minute drive of campus on the Maris Cuneo Equine Park.
It has offices, classrooms, viewing areas, a 200 x 80-foot indoor arena
and two outdoor arenas, one 200 x 120-feet, and the other 100 x 100 feet.
The 50 stalls accommodate both University-owned school horses and horses
belonging to University students who want to board their own horses.
The University owns nearly 400 acres on Lake Road, so we have acres of
turnout fields. Horseback trails will wind through the woods and around
Foster Lake, which is also owned by the University.
